Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to control it.
Effective: 2026-05-16 · v1.0
Solvgent's marketing site (solvgent.com) and application portal (solvgent.app) use a minimal set of cookies. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral profiling cookies. Product analytics on the application portal use PostHog in cookieless mode (anonymous, IP-truncated event data) where consent permits.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party") or by another domain ("third-party"). They can be temporary (cleared when you close your browser) or persistent (stored until they expire or are deleted).
2. The cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| solvgent-session | Maintains your authenticated session on solvgent.app | Strictly necessary | Session (until logout or expiry) |
| solvgent-csrf | Anti-CSRF token to protect form submissions | Strictly necessary | Session |
| solvgent-locale | Remembers your preferred language (EN/DE) | Functional | 12 months |
| cf_bm / __cf_bm | Cloudflare bot management (helps distinguish humans from bots) | Strictly necessary (set by our CDN) | 30 minutes |
3. What we do NOT use
- Advertising cookies. No Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, or comparable retargeting cookies on our marketing or application surfaces.
- Cross-site behavioral tracking. We do not participate in any cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") or similar laws.
- Third-party analytics that profile individuals. PostHog product analytics run on the EU instance in cookieless, anonymized mode where used.
4. PostHog product analytics
On the application portal we use PostHog (EU instance, hosted in Frankfurt) to measure aggregate feature usage. PostHog is configured in cookieless mode:
- No persistent identifier cookie is set on your device.
- IP addresses are truncated (last octet zeroed) before storage.
- Anonymous events are not joined back to your account profile.
If your jurisdiction requires explicit consent for analytics, the in-app consent banner controls whether PostHog events are collected.
5. How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to solvgent.app or completing certain actions.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by a banner on solvgent.com and by email to the Account's primary contact at least 30 days before they take effect.
7. Contact
